The bottom line is, the average age difference between husbands and wives continues to grow.
Here's another interesting statistic: men who tie the knot for a second time are by and large doing it with women who are around a decade younger.
Here's something else to mull over: in twenty percent of these second marriages, the man is over 20 years younger than his companion.
A wife who is two decades younger?? Oh no! The "Femi-Nazis" get livid when they hear this! They will declare that it's not right! Aberrant!
Ironically, no one seems to be bothered if the man is rich and famous. Then he is basically expected to hook up with a much younger spouse.

What about the actor Michael Douglas? (He's married to Catherine Zeta-Jones, the insanely hot actress. 'Nuff said.)
I could provide many more examples. It's a very long list. The fact is, it is EXPECTED for powerful and highly respected men to marry babes who are many years younger than they are.
So why, exactly, do older men have such a prevailing inclination to be with a younger spouse? It goes a lot deeper than just wanting a hot young babe. It's because this is what men are biologically hard-wired to want: a youthful, sexy, fertile stunner who will bear him healthy children.
What's more, it's not only about sex and procreation. According to research, it's been shown that a younger woman can quite literally extend a man's life span. In a sense, her youth is "contagious" and will keep her husband active (and not just in bed!)
In essence, the longing to date younger women is a normal, healthy desire.
